This 1967 view of Lock 3 at Braunston shows Ian and Lucy enjoying the sunshine, although it is obviously not that warm as Bill and Rose Whitlock, along with Laura Carter, are well coated. The spring line from Lucy’s mast to Ian’s fore end is clearly visible, not to mention those sleek ‘Nurser’ fore ends (!).
